The United Arab Emirates maintains culture and history while striving for modernity. "Halim" displays this balance so that it can be seen and understood by the world. Readers are diving into the culture by stories in recurred chapters "tradition", "everyday life", and "innovations".

Halim’s first edition’s main topic is the 50th anniversary of the UAE’s independence. Furthermore, it discusses the current departure to Mars and criticizes self-reflectively the exploitative Kafala system. All content is selected carefully with one another. Arabic text and image elements are repeatedly used to convey the culture on many levels.
